Autumn Gathering ...UPDATED!

Welcome everyone! Today is the Autumn Gathering...hosted by ArtsyMama.

I am about 3/4 way through decorating my house for Halloween. I still have a few more rooms to spook. Each year I do a theme for the trick-or-treaters, but that's always a surprise until that night. The theme features the majority of the outdoor decorations, so you will need to come back and visit on Halloween Night to see those!

Some of my earlier posts highlighted some decorating in a few of my rooms. You can scroll to the blog entry ...Halloween Party ...to see the post I did for Vanessa's A Fanciful Twist party. I didn't want to repeat any of the pictures I already posted, so I decided to showcase Black and White at today's gathering.

Come on in...join the fun!

There it is...the haunted house that all the tick-or-treaters are afraid to go to!

Are you sure you want to enter, asked the owl...it's so spooky!

On the mantle, the spiders have created a web ...

Quick...grab a little candy to hold you over...

What's going on out the window?

The bare trees swayed in the crisp air. Two sisters sit under the tree...trying not to think about those OTHER house guests...

These lovely ladies were created by Christine at Du Buh Du Designs.

I think she's dreaming of Paris...anywhere but this haunted house. There's no place like home...there's no place like home...

What's that you hear coming from the attic?... eerie sounds of something not from this world...

Boooo...Boooo...Booooo..............

Even Peaches, the house cat senses that something is in the air...

Booooooo! ...

That sounds like something wicked!
The scent of witche's brew fills the air...

"Psst...There's a treasure hidden in the rocks behind me," whispered Bones! Have a glass of wine to calm your nerves!

"Listen closely," he continues. "First you will have to go through a graveyard...

and into a spider's lair...

...reach deep behind the rock and you will find your treasure!"

You quickly place your candle on the rock's ledge...reach inside the spider's den...

and grab it.....

you are thrilled to find...

a vintage bracelet!... and something else? What is this treasure? Post a comment by midnight tonight (eastern time) to take a chance on winning the spider's mystery giveaway.

There are only 10 days left until Halloween! I'll pick the winner at 12:01, so I can rush it off to you... and hopefully get it to you before Halloween!

For those of you who are following the calendar countdown features...stay tuned.

Thanks for visiting the Marmelade Gypsy and for your nice comments! I am finally able to do my holiday visiting and am enchanted by your black and white holiday, the elegant decorations and Peaches!

Peaches reminds me very much of my one-time best pal, Stimpy (currently passed over to the Heavyside Layer, if you know "Cats"). Seeing Peaches made me smile.

I loved all I scanned through on your blog and hope to return. Thanks!
